A new and innovative player in the international lighting industry, LEXEDIS Lighting was officially launched in December 2005 as a Joint Venture of TridonicAtco and Toyoda Gosei.

During the impressive launch event at Le Rendez Vous Toyota in Paris, the Managing Directors of LEXEDIS, Stefan Tasch and Yasushi Matsui, and the Head of Sales and Marketing of LEXEDIS, Chris Mesnager, presented their vision for the next generation of light: XED - high-efficiency digital light sources. They treated the crowd of visitors to a stunning demonstration of the company's first product with phenomenal lighting effect and white-light quality, and explained the secrets behind LEXEDIS: an international centre of competence for research and development in the field of high-efficiency digital lighting.

The guest speaker, Tim Whitaker of LEDs Magazine, Bristol/UK, also underlined the significance of the new, pioneering technology for architecture, the automotive and communications industries, and stressed the relevance of these innovative light sources for the future.
